Jadon Sancho and ErlingHaaland developed a good understanding off and on the pitch on the back of his move from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg at the start of last year. Sancho had been at Dortmund since his move from Manchester City in 2017 and he was joined by Haaland three years later.

Haaland granted an interview to reporters in the preseason camp of Dortmund. According to him, Dortmund can even be better without Jadon Sancho as he believes others will step up to fill the void left as a result of his return to England.

Borussia Dortmund have talented players like Gio Reyna, Thorgan Hazard, Julian Brandt and others who can raise their game to compensate for the exit of England international Sancho.

Jadon Sancho had a phenomenal record at Borussia Dortmund with 38 goals and 45 assists in 104 games in the German Bundesliga. Seven of those 45 assists were for Haaland.

Haaland could have left Dortmund too this summer amidst the serious interest from European champions Chelsea but the player and his club agree that the Norwegian international is not for sale. The various reports in the media claimed that Chelsea would be willing to spend as much as £150m to £160m on him.

Norwegian striker Haaland is the main man on the transfer list at Stamford Bridge but the club could move for a new striker if a transfer doesn’t happen for the ex-Molde star with Chelsea keen to sign a new striker before the transfer market shuts this summer.
