MANCHESTER UNITED SQUAD VS ARSENAL AS VARANE RETURNS

Man Utd face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday and the Emirates clash is vital for both teams’ chances of finishing fourth. Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay are both part of the Manchester United squad for tomorrow’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.

United’s players arrived at Manchester Airport on Friday afternoon for the flight to the capital ahead of Saturday’s crucial fixture at the Emirates. Arsenal’s midweek win against Chelsea has strengthened their position in the race for fourth and Ralf Rangnick’s side are now three points behind the Gunners and Tottenham.

Both of those sides have a game in hand, although it is against each other, but United will feel they need a win at the Emirates to get their own top-four hopes back on track. Varane has missed the last three games for United with muscular problems. McTominay has missed the same three fixtures but was on the bench at Anfield on Tuesday, although he hadn’t trained before that game and was only there in case of emergencies.

Rangnick has also confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be back in the squad. The 37-year-old returned to training on Wednesday, having missed the game with Liverpool due to compassionate leave after the death of his baby boy.

Scott McTominay will be back and fit to play, he has been training with us and he will train today, he will be available for the game, the same is true with Raphael Varane. Cristiano Ronaldo is available again, he’s been training.  The United squad will travel south knowing that Erik ten Hag will be their new manager after his appointment was confirmed on Thursday.

Confirmed squad members: David de Gea, Tom Heaton, Dean Henderson, Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Bruno Fernandes, Juan Mata, Jadon Sancho.
