MESUT OZIL STARTS DESPITE POOR RESULTS

Arsenal are going into the weekend with a match against the Saints of Southampton and yet everybody connected with the club is dreading how much awful the matchday will still be.

The Gunners have been on a free fall since the beginning of the season and despite critics blasting head coach Unai Emery for his mediocre tactics, the former Sevilla coach has named Mesut Ozil among his starting eleven and also stuck with the back-three formation

Gaffer of the team, Unai Emery continues to best his three-man defense line that saw him lose to Leicester City at the weekend.

Former captain-infamous Granit Xhaka has however continued to be left out of the starting eleven having gone out of his way to damage whatever was left of his sour relationship with the Gunner crowd. The Swiss midfielder angrily worked out of the Emirates against Crystal Palace and hasn’t been back since.

Southampton who are almost rock bottom on the EPL league standings are hoping to create an upset considering the recent string of dismal outings that has paralleled Unai Emery’s men. But the Gunners are looking to go past their recent defeat and prove their mettle.

Emery continuing his absurd praise patterns for other teams, something that has angered Gunner fans more than any of his other shenanigans, pointed out that although the Saints remain rooted in the Premier League danger zone, the instinct to survive the drop at any cost means that facing them will be like facing the team at the top of the league.

Unai’s men lost to the Citizens after conceding a goal at the late hours to the closure of the game, they won at Sheffield and also lost to high flyers, Tottenham Hotspur. These statsare not a positive one for a title contender.
