2 YORKS take on Russian Navy at football 05.02.13

The 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment have hosted members of the Russian Navy for a football match at Episkopi in Cyprus. In a break from the Battalion’s island league fixtures, the friendly was scheduled to mark the end of a naval exercise off the coast of Limassol. The Russian visitors gave both their A and B teams a chance to stretch their sea legs, but lost 17 -1 to the infantry side.
