OZIL, LACAZETTE AND OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN HAVING FUN ON TOUR

Arsenal trio of MesutOzil, Alexandre Lacazette and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were pictured having fun at their ongoing pre-season training in Shanghai.

The players were Kung-Fu fighting as a song played in the background.

The team was at a fan party where they were to unwind before the next season resumes. The trio put up a dance classic with fans and teammates cheering them on. They had gathered at the Manderin Oriental Hotel as part of the pre-season tour in China – one half of the pre-season plans aside Australia.

Arsenal are set to face German champs Bayern Munich on Wednesday while they battle local rivals Chelsea on Saturday.

The team has been bonding as calm filters in. MesutOzil is likely to agree a deal with the north London side while ending the long drawn speculations that have trailed his next move. After the pre-season tour, the World Cup winner is expected to put pen to paper. Continue reading OZIL, LACAZETTE AND OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN HAVING FUN ON TOUR

Mesut Ozil agrees to do what is needed in favor of the team

Arsene Wenger has recently opted to make a formation switch which is something extremely rare for the French manager as he has traditionally only used the same 4-2-3-1 formation for the past 20 years.

It wasn’t until a few weeks ago that after a string of mediocre results and performances that Wenger decided to reinvent himself and his team by using a different team structure by implementing a 3-4-2-1 and a 3-4-3 both of which are similar formations but just slightly distinctive.

This change of formation has forced Mesut Ozil on having to perform in a spot which is not his natural or more preferential one as the German has had to slip into the right wing position instead of his traditional attacking midfielder center role.

The 28 year old German player has stated that he still has not gotten accustomed to his new position at the Emirates Stadium and it´s not his favored central position but that the former Real Madrid player is willing to do this sacrifice in favor of the success of the Premier League club. Arsene Wenger Reveals Confusion about Players to Play in Vitality Stadium

Arsene Wenger did not know what starting XI he was going to field when he turned up at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday as there was uncertainty in his mind about the body-condition of his players.

Arsenal had had a top-flight game on the New Year day as well and then after merely 50 hours or so, they found themselves going into a game again and to make the scenario worse, it was an away game.

It put Wenger in a state of indecision. He had no idea how big a risk it would be to insert those players who already had 90 minutes on Sunday, how many of them could get through it for the second time in two days.

It’s only after he saw the team go through the pre-match drills that he made the mind whom he could go with again.

Wenger left the likes of Chamberlain and Paulista in the wings as he feared he would be forcing them to injuries by putting them out there for any bit of time. A couple of other guys were unfit anyway. Continue reading Arsene Wenger Reveals Confusion about Players to Play in Vitality Stadium

Ranieri is certain that next season will be even harder

Leicester City’s historic Premier League winning season is something that took everyone by surprise. Even the own supporters and players of the club weren’t expecting to rise above every other club in the English League and become the new champions of England but it happened.

Claudio Ranieri was one of the main figures behind this extraordinary season and the Italian coach himself has stated it still baffles him as to how exactly his team was able to overcome everything in their path and win their first Premier League title in the history of the club.

When the 64 year old coach was asked about his thoughts of the previous season as well as the upcoming one, the Italian manager replied by saying:

“At the beginning our goal was to be safe. Slowly, the team got confidence, it was a very, very amazing performance, match by match, day by day, they work so hard and we improved a lot…

I think one of our keys was to be consistent during all the season. Believe in yourself without thinking winning, losing, drawing, it wasn’t important. It was important to fight every match.”

Manchester United and Chelsea are the only clubs in the history of the Premier League that have been able to successively win the top tier English League. Continue reading Ranieri is certain that next season will be even harder

Jack Wilshere’s future is edged towards Manchester City and Arsenal

One of the top summer targets of Manchester City is Paul Pogba of Juventus but trying to sign the French player is very difficult as he is also being targeted by a number of top European clubs including: Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Taking into consideration just how complicated it will be to sign Paul Pogba, Manchester City are already searching for a backup option and one of these backup’s is Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere.

Manchester City are believed to be preparing an offer of around €40 million in order to tempt Arsenal in selling Wilshere but the English player might be out of the reach of Manchester City as well because Arsene Wenger is not interested in releasing one of his most promising young figures.

The French manager Arsene Wenger is viewing Jack Wilshere as the future of Arsenal’s central midfield and will attempt to secure his services for as long as possible. Even at his young age, Wilshere is already one of the candidates of becoming the captain of Arsenal in the near future.

Jack Wilshere currently has a contract with Arsenal which extends until 2018 and he is earning €60,0000 but a pay raise is expecting to be given to him within the next few weeks as a way to motivate Wilshere to keep on playing at the Emirates Stadium and not have any interest of joining any other clubs despite how tempting their offers might be. Mame Biram Diouf says that he is extremely grateful to manager

Stoke City striker Mame Biram Diouf says that he is extremely grateful to manager Mark Hughes for giving him the opportunity to impress at the Premier League club.

After struggling with the likes of Manchester United and Blackburn in his two years in English football, it appeared to be certain that Diouf would be written off as a massive flop. This, however, has changed after just 12 months at the Britannia stadium. Stoke took the gamble on the former Hannover 96 player and it has paid off with a return of 13 goals in all competitions last season.

Some of his goals were also extremely important and the Senegalese striker looks set to remain as a key part of the club’s play going into the new campaign. Since he is just 27 years of age, he can prove to be the perfect replacement for Peter Crouch. The former Liverpool and Tottenham forward is coming to the end of his career. Stoke have already been looking at a couple of forwards in order to act as the backup for Diouf. The African forward did not have a happy time in German football too after scoring just eight goals for Hannover. Continue reading Mame Biram Diouf says that he is extremely grateful to manager

Mesut Ozil may look to demand a transfer away from Arsenal

After being heavily criticised towards the end of last season, it was feared that Mesut Ozil may look to demand a transfer away from Arsenal.

He did not appear well-suited to the rigours of English football where players now not even get to enjoy a winter break. In the last few months, though, there have been signs that Ozil may start to recapture his old form. This was finally evident in the 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool during the weekend when the German midfielder scored one of the goals from a freekick. After the match, he stated that he is starting to enjoy English football where games come thick and fast.

Last season, Ozil was visibly tired in the second half and this forced manager Arsene Wenger to rest him even from high-profile matches in the Champions League. After almost 2 years in the Premier League, it appears that the 27-year-old is starting to get used to a regular run of matches without rest. Signed from Real Madrid for £42.5 million, Ozil is the club’s record signing and it was expected that the team would be built around him. The German is showing finally that he is capable of being the main man in a team unlike at Real Madrid. Continue reading Mesut Ozil may look to demand a transfer away from Arsenal

West Brom v Sunderland 2-1 Highlights & Goals (23-Feb-2013) – English Premier League

A penalty and a fluke from the impressive Romelu Lukaku earned West Brom a 2-1 win over Sunderland at the Hawthorns. A Craig Gardner handball and poor Titus Bramble clearance were responsible for the Belgian’s two goals, and Sunderland could not find an undeserved equaliser after a deflected Stephane Sessegnon gave the away side hope.
