Arsenal Vs Wolverhampton: Mesut Ozil Went Into A Strange Territory

Arsenal has not had the continuous presence of Mesut Ozil after signing him, and he was signed some four years ago. And he is still going into a new territory. There are no Arsenal players who have a difference in the opinion just like Mesut Ozil. Even in the midst of a 15-game unbeaten race, the question was there about him, how profitable he is in the long run, despite his new claim that he would be a Gunner till his retirement.

Preventing Leicester City, he has not been the best at all under Unai Emery, and there is no shadow on the fact. And while we are used to the discrepancies, that’s what we’re not used to what comes against Wolverhampton. Ozil has to go to the place he has never been to for gameplay. I cannot say much about Mesut Ozil’s match opposite Liverpool. It was a kind of direct reaction of his frustration opposite Crystal Palace when he became subbed just after the timeline after it initially seemed as if Lacazette would come out.

CONTE EXPECTS FABREGAS TO IMPROVE

Antonio Conte has given a word of advice for midfielder Cesc Fabregas to have a regular place in the Chelsea first-team. The Spaniard was surprisingly preferred over Nemanja Matic, who ended up leaving the club for Manchester United in a £ 40 million deal. However, Chelsea have quickly strengthened the competition in the middle of the park by bringing in Danny Drinkwater from Leicester City for £ 35 million. As a result, Fabregas is expected to have a tough competition in the midfield with the likes of N’Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko fighting for a place alongside the newly recruited Drinkwater.

Fabregas has been quite impressive in the first few weeks of the season. He was sent off in the first weekend and did not take part in the match against Tottenham. However, he came up with the opening goal in the win over Everton during the weekend. Even though his passing accuracy was not his usual self, it was still an impressive performance. Yet, manager contract claims that the Spaniard should start working more off the ball. He has pointed out to the workrate provided by N’Golo Kante as the ideal performance he is expecting from his midfielder.

The players were Kung-Fu fighting as a song played in the background.

The team was at a fan party where they were to unwind before the next season resumes. The trio put up a dance classic with fans and teammates cheering them on. They had gathered at the Manderin Oriental Hotel as part of the pre-season tour in China – one half of the pre-season plans aside Australia.

Arsenal’s Future More Important than Own Future, Claims Mesut Ozil

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil says that his future is not important and that finishing in the top four is the biggest priority at the moment.

The midfielder is out of contract in less than 18 months, and he has been linked with a move to Manchester United or away from the Premier League. Ozil remains one of the biggest signings made by Arsenal in the club’s history after having moved from Real Madrid for a whopping £42 million in 2013. He has divided opinion amongst Arsenal fans in the last four years. However, there is a widespread consensus that the club may need to keep him in order to attract more top class players.

Ozil has so far been silent on his contract issue while it has been reported that the player would extend his current contract at Arsenal only if Arsene Wenger decides to stay at the club. Continue reading Arsenal’s Future More Important than Own Future, Claims Mesut Ozil

EVERTON WAITING FOR JANUARY WINDOW TO REINFORCE

Everton manager Ronaldo Koeman would have to make the best use of the January transfer window as he hopes to reinforce the squad.

It is one important period for the manager if he hopes to end his debut season on a high.
There are some top class acts that are available in the Premier League, and Everton’s 7th position should be able to convince players to join them. Koeman, already liked for his managerial capacity and exploits, and the kind of management at Everton can help the team lure some out-of-favour decent players from top sides.

Manchester United would definitely be a decent place to raid for Koeman. Players like Luke Shaw, Morgan Schneiderlin, and Memphis Depay would be able to get a top side that would provide them with regular playing time and a bid to show they still got it. Bastian Schweinsteiger is another option but the German legend might not consider remaining in the Premier League if he agrees to leave Old Trafford.

Shaw would be a decent back-up plan for Leighton Baines, and Gareth Barry could have relief if Koeman can convince Cesc Fabregas to make the switch. Idrissa Gueye would leave to play in the African Nations Cup in January – a critical time for Everton. At least funds might not be too much of an issue, and United should be willing to release the players, even if it is a loan deal. Kevin Mirallas and Aaron Lennon would definitely be on their toes if Depay decides to save his name after agreeing a move to Goodison Park.

Koeman with his wealth of experience in football – having played for all top three giants Feyenoord, PSV and Ajax, and managed the three, aside Premier League experience with Southampton – and should know when to tap into a great opportunity. This is one.

WENGER: MESUT OZIL PROVED ME WRONG

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger was very pleased with the display of his players as they came from two goals down to get a 3-2 victory over Ludogorets.

Arsenal produced a brilliant display to reach the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League. Wenger said he thought Mesut Ozil made a mistake as he tried to outfox the defense of the opposition before he scored the amazing match winner.

“To me it didn’t look like the optimal solution, but when the ball was in the net I thought it was. The great players make the right decisions in the game situations they face. They always make the optimal solution,” Wenger said.

The former Real Madrid player chipped the ball over the Ludogrets goalkeeper before moving to beat two defenders and scoring in an empty net. The brilliant individual goal has earned him praise from several quarters. Arsenal humbled the hosts two weeks ago by whopping them 6-0 at the Emirates. The Bulgarians were determined to prove a point, hence their quick two goals under 15 minutes. Arsenal had to dig deep to get the victory. Continue reading WENGER: MESUT OZIL PROVED ME WRONG

OZIL COULD RETURN TO MADRID

Arsenal play maker could make a move that will see him play at Real Madrid again, reports say.

The German midfielder is reportedly contemplating a sensational move to Spain. The report comes after the German international is believed to have signed a new lucrative deal at the Emirates.

German new source, Bild, claims that Ozil was set to receive a pay rise from £140,000 per week to £200,000 a week. The same outlet reported that after 24 hours, Ozil seems to be looking at returning to his former club. Before Ozil signed the deal, he wanted two things. First, he wanted the No. 10 role that is free following the loan deal of Jack Wilshere to Bournemouth. Also, he wants the club to guarantee that they remain committed to bringing in top players that will make a world-class squad. If the club doesn’t meet these demands, then Ozil will return to play in the La Liga.

Ozil’s current deal is set to lapse in 2018, but reports say the player’s new deal would tie him to the Emirates till 2021. Truly, Ozil could sign the deal, protecting his future, yet seek a return to Madrid in the coming summer.
Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger had already admitted that talks with Ozil were in the pipeline, but nothing has been formalized. Bild had earlier reported that Ozil relishes the opportunity to return to Madrid, so only time will tell if the report is true.

OZIL BOOSTS ARSENAL

Arsene Wenger says that Arsenal could be boosted by the return of Mesut Ozil much earlier than expected. The German midfielder was diagnosed with a long-term injury that could have potentially kept him until the middle of January. He has missed the last couple of matches. Ozil is one of the several players on the sidelines for the Gunners, but Arsenal’s form has improved in the last few matches. He has not played since the 2-0 defeat against Chelsea, but Arsenal have been unbeaten in the last four. This includes two back-to-back victories in the Premier League, although they were only against Sunderland and Burnley.

The injury crisis slowly appears to be clearing for the North London team. They recently welcomed Theo Walcott back into action for the first time this campaign. The England international has spent several months on the sidelines after suffering a major knee injury at the end of last campaign. Ironically, Arsenal failed to identify the injury for Ozil and it was only brought to the attention by the German football Association when he was involved in the international duty. Back then, his recovery time was put at 12 weeks but Wenger says that Ozil could be back in around half that time.

“He is out for a while now, I think at least six weeks. I didn’t even know about it. At half-time, just before we went out, the physio told me he had a little pain in his knee, but it’s not bad and he wanted to go on. I told him ‘if you don’t feel well tell me and I will take you off straight away’, but he never did and I left him on because we needed to find a goal,” said Wenger about Ozil’s injury and the club’s failure to recognise this problem.
